This weekend our community and friends around the globe joined Dr. Maya Angelou’s family to celebrate her life. Graylyn was privileged to host the luncheon that followed the memorial service held on campus where she invested 32 years of her life.
"The Graylyn Estate, a place where Dr. Angelou and her friends have gathered on many special occasions, provided a fitting location to honor and celebrate her life. It was our privilege to serve the family and friends that gathered in Winston-Salem,” stated John Wise, General Manager of Graylyn.
Many thanks to Dr. Angelou and her inspirational wisdom. Her legacy is strong and will offer valuable insight to everyone for years to come.
"My mission is life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, with some compassion, some humor, and some style." - Dr. Maya Angelou
